Sharing and Connecting

Everything rooted in creating our workplace practices has evolved from the values of our faculty and staff – from their ideas on institutional goals to promoting connections between campuses to creating a culture of positive relationships.

We believe in celebrating good practices that will further a respectful, productive experience. At the same time, we won’t shy away from chronicling barriers and obstacles – because it is only through sharing these experiences, that we collectively learn and support each other.

We commit to communicating regularly with the UBC community –  in our semi-annual Perspectives update, and our Annual Report.

We also encourage you to submit your individual viewpoints, departmental experiences, and story ideas related to the Focus on People in this space.

This collective responsibility will help us sustain the focus and intent in creating a fulfilling environment to work, learn and live.
