Identify and Share Institution-Wide Goals

Establishing a sense of community comes from personal interactions with others at the university. We are all working toward the university’s common goals and vision of “creating an exceptional learning environment that fosters global citizenship, advances a civil and sustainable society, and supports outstanding research to serve the people of British Columbia, Canada and the world.”

What have we accomplished?

Celebrate Learning Week and Celebrate Research Week are wonderful opportunities for everyone in the university community to experience the learning and research opportunities available on campus.

The Integration Team assisted faculties and departments to develop annual plans based on actions they are taking to implement Place & Promise.

We held the second Workplace Experiences Survey and shared the results with the University community.

What are we doing?

We are working to:

• Support UBC’s strategic plan, Place and Promise, with emphasis on the Outstanding Workplace Environment Commitment
• Continue to look for ways to improve internal communications at the university, between our many departments and units.
• Assisting faculties and departments to develop annual plans based on actions they will take to implement Place & Promise.
• Communicate clearly about strategies and goals for development projects at the Vancouver campus.
• Research the approach to the next version of Focus on People
