UBC Vancouver President’s Staff Awards

The UBC Vancouver President’s Staff Awards recognizes the personal achievements and contributions of staff to UBC and to the vision and goals of the University.

Staff Awards Recipients

Eligibility

All permanent UBC Vancouver staff with a minimum of three years of continuous service are eligible.

Nominations

Any UBC staff, faculty or student can nominate eligible UBC staff members. Nominations for the 2012 award period are now open. Please return the completed nomination packages on or before May 31 via email to staff.awards@ubc.ca (in one complete PDF file). If you have any questions about the awards or the award process, please email staff.awards@ubc.ca.

Award Categories

There are five categories of President’s Staff awards (nomination forms attached to each categories):

  • Leadership and Creativity (doc)
  • Enhancing the UBC Experience (doc)
  • Global Citizenship (doc)
  • Emerging Leadership (new in 2011) (doc)
  • Advancing Diversity and Inclusion (new in 2011) (doc)

Announcement of Winners

Winners will be announced by Public Affairs through UBC This Week and other on-campus communications. The awards will be presented at an employee event in the Fall. Winners receive $2,000 and a certificate of recognition.

Number of Winners

There can be up to 10 winners per year, two in each category. A staff member can win both the PSAE and the PSA, but not in the same year.

Winner Selection

The recipients will be selected by the President, with the support of an advisory committee.
