Recognizing the contributions of staff members to the UBC community, five staff have been awarded the 2011 President’s Service Award for Excellence. The PSAE acknowledges staff who have made outstanding contributions to UBC, and excel in their personal achievements.

The winners this year are:

• Carol Mayer, Curator (Oceania & Africa), Museum of Anthropology
• Patricia Mirwaldt, Director, Student Health Services
• Michele Ng, Project Coordinator, Department of Computer Science
• Tangerine Twiss, Executive Assistant, International Office, Office of the Vice President Research & International
